Be still …

Went over to a friend’s apartment, and gotten hold of this shot of a nice vase against the pleasing backdrop.
I took this photo with my K10D plus the smc P-DA 40mm f/2.8 Limited at wide open aperture, and to make sure the metering is not fooled by the bright background, I use center-weighted metering.
It came out spot on.
